Ingredients <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n-1 can of Grace Ackee<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-1 package of saltfish<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Fresh seasoning\/vegetables: green and yellow bell pepper, 1 tomato, 2 scallions, 1 onion, 1 scotch bonnet pepper, 2 garlic cloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-1 package of Johnny Cake mix<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n- Soak 1 package of saltfish for at least an hr before boiling<\/li>
- Boil saltfish for 2-3hrs(or until soft)*change the water every 30 minutes to remove salt overload.\u00a0<\/li>
- When cooked break fish apart and remove all visible bones. Place to the side and prepare veggies.<\/li>
- In oil saut\u00e9 1 yellow onion, 1\/2 red, green & yellow pepper, 1 tomato, 1-2 scallion(s), 1 scotch bonnet pepper, & 2 garlic cloves<\/li>
- Add cooked saltfish, black pepper, garlic & onion powder(to taste) and let simmer for 5-10mins. *salt optional\u00a0<\/li>
- Gently mix in 1 can of washed grace ackee and cook on low for 10-20 mins. *Do not over mix, it\u2019ll turn into mush!*<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
