1 serrano pepper

3 cups of all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. paprika
3 tbsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. onion powder
3 tsp. pepper flakes
3 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. dried parsley
1 packet of sazon
Liquids
1 cup honey
½ cup of Hennessey
Directions-Fried Wings
- Clean and soak wings in lemon water while removing all hairs from skin. Then pat wings dry with a paper towel.
- Add the following dry spices to clean wings-2 tbsp. of: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper flakes, salt, and dried parsley.
- Once completely mixed add 2 cups of buttermilk to bowl of wings and let rest.
- In a separate bowl add the following dried ingredients to 3 cups of all-purpose flour-1 packet of sazon; 1 tbsp. of: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper flakes, salt, and dried parsley
- Gently take wet wings and dip in flour mixture. Feel free to use shake/bag method.
- Let coated wings rest for 2-3 minutes while you prepare the oil. Let cooking oil heat on low until it reaches 325 degrees F.
- Add chicken to fryer without overcrowding. Cook for 7-8 minutes per side.
- Once chicken is golden brown remove from oil and check to ensure it is at a temperature of 165 degrees F.
Directions– Spicy Hennessy Sticky Sauce
- In a sauce pan add one stick of butter and garlic paste. Simmer on low until butter is completely melted.
- Add sliced serrano pepper and simmer for 1-2 minutes. (Feel free to replace with your favorite kick i.e.; jalapeño).
- Once butter begins to bubble, add ½ cup of Hennessy and deglaze the pan.
- Add 1 cup of honey and begin stirring mixture.
- Once thick consistency is achieved turn fire off immediately so sauce does not separate from the oil).
- Add to wings and serve!
